Audere`s three pointer sets playoff pairings

Laura Audere scored ten points, including game winning three pointer, in the last six minutes to lead the Tallinn University to a 66-65 home win over RSU/Merks on Saturday, March 7.

 

Tallinn University built an early lead (20-10 and 25-14) and held on to win the first half.

 

Aivars Vīnbergs team responded with a 0-15 run midway the third quarter for a ten point advantage, 38-48.

 

The hosts cut the gap down to four points before the end of the first quarter.

 

Arta Frīdenberga scored seven points early in the fourth quarter to maintain a 50-57 lead for the guests.

 

Laura Audere took over, to score 10 of her 19 points in the final six minutes of the game.

 

 

PLAY-OFFS

TTT juniores, RSU/Merks, Vega 1/Liepāja and Latvijas Universitāte enters the fight for the last two spots to the Final 6. Action starts on Wednesday, March 11.

 

The play-offs will be played in a home-and-away format, with the overall cumulative score determining the winner of a round, Thus, the score of one single game can be tied.

 

The higher placed team from the Top 6 tournament will play the second game of each match-up at home.

The winners will advance to the Nordea league Final 6.

 

TTT juniores – Latvijas Universitāte winner will advance to play the Tallinn University (#4) in the quarterfinals on Friday, March 20.

 

1182 Tallinn (#3) will face the winner of the second pair between RSU/Merks and Vega 1/Liepāja.
