Püü shines as 1182 Tallinn finally outlasts RSU/Merks

For the third consecutive year 1182 Tallinn will be playing in the Latvia-Estonia league semifinals. Howard Frier`s team wiped out a nine point deficit in the second half to take a 73-67 victory against principal rivals RSU/Merks in the first quarterfinal on Friday, March 20.

Stat of the game: Pirgit Püü scored all four three-pointers.


Stars of the game: Pirgit Püü had 25 points, three assists and three steals. Kerli Haas added nine points in the second half to finish with 13 points.


Heila Rosenfeldt scored 12 points, grabbed six rebounds, dished five assists and forced seven fouls. Anastassia Ptitsõna scored five points and added four assists in just 11 minutes of action.


Paula Langina replied with 23 points and eight rebounds, while Paula Tomsone and Linda Vilde scored 18 and 14 points respectively. Kate Aizsila had 10 points, six assists, eight forced fouls and five steals.



Coming next: 1182 Tallinn (#3) will face SK Cēsis (#2) in the semifinals on Saturday, March 21.
