1182 Tallinn advances to the Top 6

1182 Tallinn (6-1) cruised to a comfortable 91-46 win over Tartu University/Kalev (2-6), securing the third consecutive Top 6 tournament spot on Saturday, December 5.



Howard Frier`s and Gerly Kostla`s side used a 23-8 run in the second quarter to pull away. The hosts build their lead up to 45 points in the second half.


Three teams qualified to the Top 6 with latest victories. Wednesday, November 25 saw TTT Riga road win over Tartu University to advance.


Last Wednesday, December 2, Vega 1/Liepāja ran away from the Latvia U16 to reach the Top 6 too.

Stars of the game: Laina Mesila-Kaarmann had 23 points on 10-of-15 shooting from the field. She added eight rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Shaquanda Wiggins scored 14 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished three assists.

Nele Laurimaa answered with 19 points, five rebounds and four steals.
