Tallinn University`s win set the stage for Final 6

Tallinn University led from start to finish en route to an 78-47 win over the University of Latvia in the Game 2 of the Nordea league play-offs on Monday, March 31. The hosts advances by an aggregate score 159-99, and will play against RSU/Merks in the quarterfinals.

 

Kersti Sirel`s side built a 19 point advantage in the first quarter, 30-11.

 

Laura Audere and Kerttu Jallai started strong, helping the Tallinn University to 46-24 halftime lead, which also meant 127-76 series advantage (+50).

 

The hosts won also the last 20 minutes, which translated into 159-99 series lead (+60).

 

All time series: 5-0 (this season 3-0).

 

Stat of the game: Tallinn University players made 21 out of 30 field goals after assists (70%) and shot 60% inside the three point line (28/47).

 

Stars of the game: The mighty trio of Laura Audere, Kerttu Jallai and Pirgit Püü scored a combined 53 points. They registered 112 points in two games, while their opponents scored 99 points.

 

Coming next: RSU/Merks (#4) – Tallinn University (#5) winner will advance to play the TTT Rīga squad (#2) in the semifinals on Saturday, April 5.

 

SK Cēsis (#1) will face the winner of the second pair between ECLEX Tallinn/1182 (#3) and Vega 1/Liepāja (#7).
