This Tuesday is all about Kate Aizsila, 21-year-old forward from TTT Riga who played her previous seasons in RSU/Merks. This season she has played 14 games, averaged 7.8points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. What is remakable is that on the 1st round (10 games), her FT% was 100%, scoring all 17 baskets from the line. The entire season's FT percentage is 95.7% - 22/23).

Below you find her anwers to our legendary questions.

How do you motivate yourself before the games?

I think about how much work I have put into and about people who have given their contribution for my development. They believe in me and that is the best motivator for me.

What kind of rituals you have before the games?

I try to communicate with my sister before every game. Usually she says something that makes me smile and motivates even more. Sometimes I'm listening to music, it depends on my mood.

Do you have anything you dislike about basketball?

No. I am totally in it.

In your eyes, what's the difference between men's and women's basketball?

Men are more athletic so they can dunk and make impressive block shots what makes the game more interesting for fans to watch. Women try to offset that with their passion. We sometimes say "It's women's basketball - you'll never know what can happen" :)

Have you done any other sports besides basketball?

I am palying basketball since I was 8. Before that I danced folk-dances a little bit but it wasn't that serious.

Tell us something about you

My primary hobby is basketball. That is my appeal. For more I like to cook when I have time for it. I try to find some time for reading too.

Tell us something unique that a lot of people don't know about you

I am a total fan of cakes. Specially with curd in it.

What is the funniest thing that has ever happened to you ?

One day I forgot my training shorts and I had no chance to get another ones. So I needed to pracice in my undershorts. Luckily it wasn't a team practice :)

Do you have anything else you would like to teel your fans?

I like this quote - "Do what you love and love what you do!" come to our games and support us - a great opportunity to see what we love :)

What would be your favourite breakfast on Sunday morning?

Definitely various types of pancakes. It is my Sunday tradition.

Thank you Kate for these answers!
