UudisedKnow Your Players: Katrina Dimante - RSU/MERKS20.10.2015
Welcome to the second weeks of Know Your Player!
This week we get to know more about Katrina Dimante who is playing in Latvian team - RSU/MERKS.
What kind of rituals you have before the games? Except talking to my self? :D I don't have any special rituals.
How do you motivate yourself before the games? Mostly I don't, but when I do it, I say to myself: "You should do the best you can to your team. Do what you do best - work hard in defense!" before the games I always say to myself - "remeber - first is defense, if you work hard in defense -offence will come!"
Do you have anything you dislike about basketball? There is nothing negative to say about the game I love it since I started practising at the age of 9.
In your eyes, what's the difference between men's and women's basketball? Men are more athletic. They are faster, they jump higher and they are more physical than we (women) are. Men's basketball is more interesting to watch.
Have you done any other sports besides basketball? Before basketball I went to Latvian folk dance classes and actually I want to start to do it again, because I love to dance. And folk dance is the best cardio, so its good for keeping my body in shape.
Tell us something about you I prefer to live a healthy lifestyle - physical and mentally, so I go to the gym in my free time - I do trx, aerobics, pilates and other activities. I like theatre and reading books (about improving qualities of life and also books about history's ), traveling around the world, see the differences between cultures. In winter I like snowboarding a lot.
Tell us something unique that a lot of people don't know about you I love kids, I have two amazing sisters, I study physiotherapy and I think it's the best job in the world - you can help others and make them smile!. I have been in ERASMUS in Spain and.. I will get married soon :D!!!
What is the funniest thing that has ever happened to you? What happens in Vegas, stay's in Vegas! Haha
What would be your favourite breakfast on Sunday morning? Ceasar salad and for a desert - banana pancakes with ice cream, honey and fresh fruits, also coffee with milk and my best company.
Do you have anything else you would like to tell your fans? Never stop doing what you love the most! Also - positive thinkig really works! So...keep going and dream big!
Thank you Katrina for sharing your interests!
