Cēsis defeats 1182 Tallinn, will play in third consecutive final

Zane Jākobsone scored 11 of her 20 points in the second half to lead SK Cēsis into the finals of the Latvia-Estonia league with a 75-44 win over 1182 Tallinn on Saturday, March 21.


Cēsis outrebounded 1182 Tallinn in the first half, 22-11, while shooting from the field with 60% accuracy.


Sabīne Niedola, Līga Šurkusa and Zane Jākobsone combined for a 26 points to give Cēsis a 20 points lead before the halftime, 42-22.


They never looked back afterwards.


All time series: 7-2 (this season 2-2).


Stat of the game: Cēsis limited 1182 Tallinn to 17 field goals (17-of-63).


Stars of the game: Zane Jākobsone had 20 points, six rebounds and seven assists. Sabīne Niedola posted double-double, finishing with 13 points and 10 rebounds.


Līga Šurkusa and Ilze Jākobsone scored 11 points each, while Kristīne Silarāja added seven points, five rebounds and seven assists.


Annika Köster replied with 10 points and six rebounds. Birgit Piibur had nine points.
