Köster, Pokk and Wiggins lift 1182 Tallinn to the maiden win in EEWBL

 Shaquanda Wiggins scored 22 points and grabbed 16 rebounds to lead Estonian champions 1182 Tallinn to their first ever win in the Eastern European Women`s basketball league on Saturday, November 29.



Howard Frier`s side erased nine points deficit enroute to the first ever overtime and claimed a 77-74 win over the home team Kibirkštis Vilnius.


Annika Köster  scored six of her 10 points in the last six minutes of the game to give 1182 Tallinn a 67-65 lead 2,5 seconds before the end of regulation.


Shenita Landry made some great plays in the second half, while Justina Kraujunaite put up a jump shot to tie the game at the buzzer, 67-67!


Köster  added a couple of important baskets in the overtime, howewer, a three pointer by Egle Sniokaite tied the game just before the last few possessions, 73-73.


Mailis Pokk made the game winning shot for 1182 Tallinn to finish the game on a high note, 75-73.
