RSU/Merks: never miss the Final Six

 Vega 1/Liepāja will face RSU/Merks in the second quarterfinal of the Latvia-Estonia league Final Six tournament on Friday, April 8.

 

 

RSU/Merks will participate in the third consecutive Final Six tournament after winning series over the Tallinn University 130-115 (home 63-54, road 67-61).

 

All time series: 9-3 (this season 2-1).

 

Stat of the game: the guests scored more paints in the paint (32-20).

 

Stars of the game: Daina Lazdeniece led the guests with 16 points on 7-of-12 shooting from the field. She added four rebounds and three blocked shots.

 

Santa Dreimane-Visocka scored 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Anna Buša had 10 points, eight rebounds and four assists.

 

Ance Aizsila chipped in nine points. She also contributed four rebounds, four assists and forced six fouls.

 

Trine Kasemägi had a game high 21 points, six rebounds, two blocked shots and 10 forced fouls.

 

Dayton standout Samantha Mac Kay scored 17 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished six assists.
