Tallinn University come from behind to beat LU

Tallinn University (1-1) edged University of Latvia on the road, 63-60, for the Estonian champs first win of the season on Saturday, October 11.

 

Üllar Kerde side trailed by 12 points late in the first half, 24-36. Guests fought back and cut the deficit to five points before the halftime break, 34-39. Tallinn University limited the hosts to 21 points in the second half and took important road win.

Stat of the game: University of Latvia players made just half of their free throws, connecting 17 out of 34 attempts (50%).

 

Stars of the game: Kerttu Jallai paced the winners with 19 points on 6 of 11 shooting from the field. She added seven rebounds and five steals. Newcomer Rachel Jones scored 14 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Liene Stalidzāne replied with 10 points, five rebounds and five assists.
