Kosk heroics leads Rapla to overtime win against Audentes

AmEst Rapla celebrated a first ever Latvia-Estonia league win against Audentes SG/Noortekoondis, a thrilling 71-62 overtime victory on Thursday, February 12.

 

Kadri Ann Lass scored 26 points, helping the guests pull away to a seven point advantage 58-51 less than five minutes before the end of regulation.

 

AmEst Rapla kept Audentes scoreless for the last four minutes. The hosts rallied behind Greeta Üprus, Kristel Viljus and Kaia Kost, tying the game 58-58 with 48 seconds to go.

 

Kaia Kosk helped Rapla pull away again. She hit two three pointers and scored nine points in overtime, including the game winner.

 

AmEst Rapla improved to 3-14, while Audentes dropped to 3-15.

 

All time series: 1-5 (this season 1-2).

 

Stat of the game: Kaia Kosk scored 11 of her 17 points in the final six minutes. She made four consecutive field goals during that stretch, while shooting 2-of-15 from the field until then.

 

Stars of the game: Kaia Kosk had 17 points, six rebounds and four assists. Greeta Üprus finished with 18 points, six rebounds and four forced fouls. Kadri Ann Lass scored 28 points, grabbed 17 rebounds and dished five assists. Marie Roosalu added 18 points, nine rebounds, five assists and four steals.
