1182 Tallinn survives RSU/Merks in a thriller

Heila Rosenfeldt had a season high 15 points and Pirgit Püü added 15 points as 1182 Tallinn knocked off RSU/Merks 67-66 on Saturday, February 21.

 

RSU/Merks players were down 41-31 early in the second half but they used a 22-32 run over the course of about 10 minutes to tie the game, 63-63.

 

Laina Mesila-Kaarmann scored from the field, while Pirgit Püü connected both free throws to put the hosts ahead 67-63.

 

Kate Aizsila finished an and-one to cut the gap to one point, 67-66.

 

Püü missed her last three point attempt. Birgit Piibur saved the ball, however, 1182 Tallinn violated the shot-clock rule.

Kate Aizsila finished with 23 points, six rebounds, seven assists and 10 forced fouls. Paula Langina registered double-double. She had 18 points and 11 rebounds. Paula Tomsone scored 13 points in the second half.
