Third quarter run takes Tallinn University to the Final Six

Tallinn University took down TTT juniores on the road, 79-51, to qualify for the second consecutive Final Six tournament on Saturday, February 28.

 

Janne Rits team opened the second half with the full court press and six unanswered points to extend their lead up to 15 points, 42-27.

 

TTT juniores cut the gap to 11 points, however, the guests answered with another 8-0 run to build a 19 point lead, 50-31.

 

Five Tallinn University players scored in double-figures to extend the lead even further before the end of the third quarter, 66-39.

 

The guests cruised rest of the way for a 28 points win.

 

All time series: 5-1 (this season 3-0).

 

Stat of the game: Tallinn University forced 31 turnovers and scored many easy baskets behind a 20 steals.

 

Stars of the game: Rachel Jones was unstoppable. She scored 12 points, grabbed 15 rebounds and dished five assists for a efficiency rating of 26. Laura Audere scored a team-high 14 points.

 

Kristiāna Rikveile registered her first double-double of the season, finishing the game with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Paula Strautmane had 14 points and nine rebounds.
