Nuolikoski and Reshetko shine, Lappeenranta wins third straight game

 Elena Reshetko had almost a perfect game to lead the Finnish champions Catz Lappeenranta to their third consecutive win, a 87-48 rout of the Tallinn University on Saturday, January 16.

 

 

Reshetko had 17 points in 17 minutes, while four Catz players scored twice or more from the three point line.

 

The guests made seven three pointers to build a 29 point advantage before heading into the break 52-23.

 

Eventually all Lappeenranta players chipped in at least a few points for a 39 points win.

 

All time series: 1-0 (this season 1-0).

 

Stat of the game: the guests shot 40% from the perimeter (10/25) and held the hosts to just 20% (2/10).

 

Stars of the game: Elena Reshetko finished the game with 17 points on 11-of-11 shooting from the charity line. She added four rebounds, four steals and seven forced fouls.

 

Ulriikka Nuolikoski made three three-point shots. She had 14 points. Chandrea Jones scored 13 points and dished three assists.

 

NCAA division II champion (2011) Kayla Mobley (Clayton State University Lakers 2013) answered with 14 points and 14 rebounds.
