TTT Rīga completes three-peat, MVP – Ieva Krastiņa

 TTT Rīga top Catz, 68-43, to capture third straight Latvia-Estonia league title on Sunday, April 10.

 

 

The winners went on a 20-2 run in the fourth quarter to increase their lead from seven to 25 points.

 

Aigars Nerips and Jānis Nešpors side became the second undefeated team in the Latvia-Estonia league history, finishing with a 22-0 win and loss record.

 

Guard Anda Eibele earned her fourth consecutive Latvia-Estonia league gold medal (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016).

 

Eibele and TTT center Zenta Meļņika were included in the All-Tournament team along with Chandrea Jones (Catz), Kristīne Silarāja (Vega 1/Liepāja) and Mailis Pokk (1182 Tallinn).

 

Ieva Krastiņa received the second consecutive Most Valuable Player award.

 

All time series: 3-0 (this season 3-0).

 

Stat of the game: TTT bench players scored 26 points, while Catz substitutes answered with four points.

 

Stars of the game: Kristen Mann scored six consecutive points in the beginning of the second half to finish with a game high 18 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the field. UCSB standout added a team high four assists, two blocked shots and four forced fouls.

 

Ieva Kūlīte scored 13 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. She also had two steals and two blocked shots.

 

TTT captain Ieva Krastiņa had 11 points and forced five fouls, while Zenta Meļņika added seven points and nine rebounds.

 

Elena Reshetko replied with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
