TTT Rīga continue winning ways at FCR Media/Rapla

TTT Rīga (6-0) found stiff resistance from FCR Media/Rapla (3-3) in the third quarter but dominated the paint the rest of the way enroute to a 79-51 road success on Saturday, November 12.

 

 

 

Aigars Nerips and Jānis Nešpors team recently won two EuroCup Women home games, beating teams from Russia and Turkey with average winning margin of 27,5 points.

 

FCR Media/Rapla when compared to last year missed frontcourt players Mailis Pokk, Annija Köster and Janet Perv.

 

It cost the hosts in the paint where the guests scored 48 points, while Rapla players accummulated 16 points.

 

TTT went on a 18-6 run in the second quarter to build its lead up to 16 points, 36-20.

 

The hosts did everything to balance the game during next ten minutes, 55-39.

 

Latvia-Estonia league champions replied with another run to extend their lead up to 28 points.

Stars of the game: Aishah Sutherland (Kansas) finished the game with 15 points, eight rebounds and five forced fouls.

 

TTT captain Ieva Krastiņa and young forward Digna Strautmane added 11 points each.

 

Laina Mesila-Kaarmann had 12 points and nine rebounds, while Francis Donders (Netherlands) netted 12 points and five forced fouls.
